Inner Beauty Is More Important

The Lord said to Samuel, "Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart." 1 Samuel 16:7

It is important that we love and embrace who the Lord our Creator has made us to look on the outside but what about the inside? Which is more important? The Lord himself speaks to Samuel letting him know that He does not look at outward appearance as man does, but he looks upon the heart of each individual. So the answer to that question is solved. As women, it is important that we  take care of ourselves by taking care of our physical bodies both inside and out. There is nothing wrong with enjoying fashion, hair and other things us women love, but those things should not take precedence over us taking care our hearts.
Proverbs 31:30 states "charm is deceitful  and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." It's apparent that fearing the Lord and being a woman of humility, integrity and virtue is more important to God than what we look on the outside.

Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. You do not have to be a perfect person to have a pure heart. We are not perfect, but being honest with God and being sincere in our hearts towards God is all He wants. When you are sincere and have a pure heart towards God, you seek to please Him in everything you do. The only person who knows the true sincerity of your heart is you and God. Above all that's on the outside, know that your heart is not hidden from God. The Lord says, "I the Lord search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways according to the fruit of his doings." Jeremiah 17:10

Psalm 19:14 "Let the words of my mouth, and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in your sight Oh Lord. My strength and my redeemer."

Psalm 139:23 "Search me oh God and know my heart, try me and know my anxieties."
