Sweet tooth anyone? Every once in a while it's okay to treat ourselves to a tasty treat. It's even better when you can make it yourself. In making dishes like creme brulee, you can control the amount of each ingredient especially sugars and salts along with any other ingredients that may cause allergic reactions, weight gain, calories and more.

Today's tasty treat comes from the "The Kitchen Garden Cookbook" an takes about 10 minutes to make.

Here are the ingredients and steps for you to try on your own!

Good Luck and treat yourself!

4 oz. (115g) raspberries
2/3 cup of superfine sugar
1 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest
1 3/4 cups heavy cream
2 eggs
1/2 cup ground hazelnuts
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract

3 Steps

Step 1
Divide the raspberries between 4 ramekins. Sprinkle each with 3/4 tsp of sugar and 1/4 teaspoon of lemon zest.

Step 2
Whisk the cream with the eggs, hazelnuts, vanilla extract, and 1 tbsp of the sugar until well blended. Pour over the raspberries. Stand the dishes in a large frying pan with enough boiling water to come halfway up the sides of the dishes. Cover the pan with a lid or foil and cook very gently for about 30 minutes or until set. Don't let the water boil or the custard will curdle. Leave to cool, then chill in the fridge.

Step 3
Remove from the fridge, sprinkle liberally with the remaining sugar and broil under high heat for 3-4 minutes until caramelized. Alternatively, move a cook's blowtorch over the top to caramelize the sugar. Allow to stand for 5 minutes, then serve.
