FAITH | Why Choosing God Is Always The Right ChoiceFAITH | | By Catherine Manning
He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds." - Psalm 147:3The world is filled with unrelenting noise from phone calls and work emails that need our immediate attention, to the sound of a merciless car horn when traffic is stopped and there is nothing anyone can do. Everyone is rushing and so are you. You never have the time to just stop and evaluate the direction your life is taking because your problems are very real and sometimes a pay check is the only difference between eating and going hungry. So you keep moving in any direction that keeps you afloat with only stress as a constant to rely on. Maybe you left God somewhere between heartache and unanswered prayers. Maybe it is easier to doubt your faith than doubt the facts in your life and the fact is, yo
u’re unhappy. I have a message to share with you: you do not have to go through this life alone. You do not have to hold onto the pain and anguish that life has unfortunately placed upon you. You have a choice. You will always have a choice even if it is obscured by your present circumstances. You can make the choice to return to God, to pray to him and speak to him in any way you know how.
The first prayers will be raw and aching like a bruise that never did heal. These prayers could start the healing, but first you must forgive the perception of God you had before, the God that was silent. You have to start viewing God as the ultimate listener.
"We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed."
- 2 Corinthians 4:8-9God will never and has never left you. He may not change every circumstance in your life and sometimes the trials will feel endless, but we must always remember that this life is not the true life. Your eternity of bliss is the true life and that life will always make everything clear. Every struggle you ever had will feel small and weightless next to the beauty God has in store for us. In this place of pure happiness you will realize that all the roads you ever walked were leading you to God and God was the one holding your hand.
"For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen; but the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal." - 2 Corinthians 4: 17-18
